Present: They're a good himbo. They're really doing their best to be good, make good choices. They love seeing people happy. They don't want to hurt a fly. They're not so good with words and sometimes they trip over their tongue but the intentions are good, and that's what counts right? 

Their dreams are only nightmares and they're filled with bloodlust and depravity. They wake from every restless night shuddering, vowing never to give in to the violent thoughts. To even dwell on them for a moment could crack the shell they're clinging to. They're trying so hard to make a good place in this world. Their newfound friends mean everything to them though, and if they are threatened, they won't hold back. They just hope they'll be able to stop when they need to. 

They have little if any memory of the time before. Sometimes they awake from nightmares feeling as though maybe the dream was actually a memory, but it fades just as quickly as any other dream- with a lingering sense of unease. They're slowly picking up the pieces of who they were, but every piece of the puzzle leads them down a path darker than the one they want to be on.

 

Before: Though they may not recall it, at one point they were one of the most feared creatures in the realm. The people wouldn't necessarily recognize them either. They'd commit murder sprees so violent and rabid, they were typically blamed on animals. They could commit murders silently, swiftly, stealthily, but where's the fun in that? The more they sunk their teeth and claws into, the more they enjoyed it

Their boyfriend, a powerful man who called himself a lord, encouraged the bloodlust, as well as other acts of cunning, manipulation, and general evil. They were THE evil duo. They made plots and plans and lusted after one another in the midst of carnage. Svartr wouldn't recognize him now, but that's for the best. Perhaps one day they'll have the misfortune of meeting again. 


In between: Svartr doesn't know what happened, how they came to be with no recollection of who they are or anything they've done- only screams of bloodlust and carnage in their head. They don't know that they were attacked by someone and suffered so much physical and magical trauma that their memories were essentially eroded. It might be for the best that they don't remember though. It's safe to say Svartr before and Svartr now would not be friends.
