Cryas is an odd case of a Ketucari not being raised or living in Velukaelo and from a very early age. You see, as a cub, Cryas was stolen by another force and taken to another world to become a guard for a little creature he treasured and practically worshiped as a god itself in their little cult. That however, turned out to be false and in truth, was a demon they were rasing under the idea of becoming a false god. His boss and second in command made sure Cryas understood that should he reveal this secret or allow the little beast to die, his head would come rolling next.
Even so, as the little demon grew, it was no secret, that Cryas didn't agree with his leader's choices. He didn't see the creature as a demon, destructive, yes, but mislead. Getting to know them further, he realized Baraja didn't even realize what he truly was and the two became friends very quickly, more than that, actually. When they were both old enough to be on their own, Baraja's research lead him to finding information on Velukaelo and finding a way back for Cryas to escape through. This however, left them separated. Cryas being in Velukaelo, while Baraja was trapped in the other realm. As a result, Cry has been endlessly researching a way to summon or "revive" Baraja with a new vessle in Velukaelo.
